About the brand
if six was nine is a Tokyo label founded in 1997 under Maniac Corp, named after the Jimi Hendrix song. It came up through Harajuku alongside its sister label L.G.B., cutting distressed, rock-inflected clothing - raw edges, asymmetric hems, leather trims - that built a cult following well beyond Japan.

Care guide
Hand wash warm at 30C, no bleach, warm iron; dry clean with any solvent except tetrachloroethylene. The dye transfers easily in the wash, so wash it alone, skip the tumble dryer, and keep the iron off the printed symbols. The raw hem edges are as made and will soften rather than fray away.
