About the brand
SHELLAC is the Tokyo label of Hideyuki Maruya, opened in August 2000 after he left ABAHOUSE INTERNATIONAL, where he had been chief designer of 5351 POUR LES HOMMES. The label works mostly in leather and in original fabrics developed for it. Its first shop opened in Daikanyama in 2002, followed by an Aoyama store furnished with antiques and a dark interior.

Body 100% cotton sweat. Ribs 95% cotton, 5% polyurethane.
Care guide
Hand wash cold, no bleach, iron on medium; a gentle dry clean is fine. Wash inside out and hang to dry; the garment dye softens a shade with washing, which suits it. The elastane in the ribs dislikes the dryer, so keep it out of one.
