About the brand
Yasuyuki Ishii was born in 1962, trained at Kuwasawa Design School, and worked first as an object artist, taking the Kansai Yamamoto prize at the Tokyo Parco Object Exhibition in 1987 before turning to clothing. The label carrying his name was founded in Tokyo in 1996 and built its reputation on leather: rock and motorcycle culture run through tailored shapes, hardware worked in by hand, and a palette that rarely leaves black. It has shown mainly in Paris.

Care guide
Leather specialist clean only. The perforation means the jacket takes on water fast, so keep it out of the rain, and the mesh behind it means a soaked lining dries slowly; air it after wear. Before conditioning, test on a small hidden area first and let it dry. Hang on a broad hanger.
