About the brand
Rick Owens was born in Porterville, California in 1961 and worked for years as a patternmaker in Los Angeles garment factories before starting his label there in 1994. He built it slowly on bias-cut leathers and washed jerseys in a palette he calls dust and milk, showed in New York in 2002, and moved to Paris the year after, where the label has been based since. His work runs glamour and brutalism together, and it extends past clothing into furniture and publishing, much of it made with his wife and partner Michèle Lamy.

Material
52% cotton, 48% polyamide. Waistband 100% cotton.
Care guide
Wash cold and gentle inside out or dry clean, and hang to dry; the nylon content dries fast and dislikes high heat. The frayed edges along the waist channels are cut that way and will not run. Iron low if at all, keeping the quilted bands unpressed.
