About the brand
alfredoBANNISTER is a Tokyo shoe label, launched in 1992 inside ABAHOUSE INTERNATIONAL, the clothing company founded there in 1978. Its stated concept is to wear shoes the way you wear clothes, and it is built on lasts cut to fit Japanese feet. The work is Italian in reference and modern in detail, classical shapes given a street inflection and cut in Japanese leather. A women's line followed in the 1990s, and the label has sold from Tokyo, London and Paris.

Leather upper with a raw-cut canvas underlayer at the shafts. Black commando rubber lug sole.
Care guide
Wipe leather with a barely damp cloth and let it dry away from heat, condition it now and then to keep it supple. Leave the canvas edges as they are, fraying is part of the finish. Store the pair dry and out of direct light.
