About the brand
Paul Harnden was born in Toronto and moved to Brighton in 1985 to learn traditional shoemaking, founding the label in 1987. It kept the shoemaker's name and grew into clothing alongside the footwear, all of it made by hand in England. Harnden takes no publicity and runs no advertising, which he has described as a strict rule. The work reaches buyers through a small number of stockists.

Care guide
Hand wash cool and dry flat, out of direct light. Lift pills with a comb or a sweater stone rather than pulling them. Have the small holes closed by a knitwear repairer before they open further.
