About the brand
Chrome Hearts was started in a Hollywood garage in 1988 by Richard Stark, the leather dealer John Bowman and the silversmith Leonard Kamhout, to make motorcycle gear that did not exist yet. It took the CFDA accessory award in 1992, and by 1994 Stark had bought out his partners and ran it with his wife Laurie Lynn. Nothing is outsourced: more than a thousand artisans in Hollywood make everything the label sells - silver and gold jewellery, eyewear, leather, kitchenware, furniture cut from ebony and inlaid with silver. It does not advertise.

Care guide
Leather specialist clean only. The silvered finish is a surface treatment and it wears with friction, which is how the piece is meant to age; keep it away from abrasives and do not attempt to polish the finish itself. Leave the hardware tarnish alone unless you want it bright, and if you do, polish the metal only, never where it meets the leather. Hang or fold flat, out of the light.
