About the brand
Ann Demeulemeester graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 1981 and was one of the Antwerp Six, the academy graduates who showed together in London in 1986. She founded her label with her husband, Patrick Robyn, in 1985 and first showed in Paris in 1992. Her work is built on black and white, on long, slim, layered tailoring and on a romantic register shaped by music, with Patti Smith a lasting reference. She left the house in 2013; Sébastien Meunier led it until 2020, when the label was acquired by the Italian retailer Claudio Antonioli.

Material
Calf leather upper. Leather sole. Stacked leather heel.
Care guide
Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth. Condition the leather sparingly with a neutral cream, testing it on a hidden spot first. Store upright with boot shapers so the shafts don't crease, away from heat. Resole through a cobbler before the leather sole wears through.
